Chicago in the top 10 best cities for local flowers
CHICAGO — While some cities have a bunch of local flower options, others have slim pickings.
To find the best flowers in America, Lawn Love ranked the best cities for local flowers in 2022. They compared nearly 200 cities based on flower access and delivery, supplier quality, and location. local demand.
Chicago ranked 8th as a blooming flower city for local flowers, and 2n/a for a city with the most delivery services.

As part of the study, researchers asked a panel of industry experts questions such as “How can consumers be sure they are buying the freshest flowers from their local florist?”.
“Ask the florist when the flowers have arrived,” says Melinda Knuth, an assistant professor at NC State University. “A well-managed flower will last 10 to 14 days in the consumer. Make sure your florist has tidy coolers, the water in the floral vase is clean, and you know how to properly use the “flower food” that comes with the flowers. It’s a food solution that will help them last as long as possible.
