Non-Profit Seeking Donations for Wreaths Across America

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Mission of Crowns across America is to remember the dead, honor those who serve, and teach our children the value of freedom. A Colorado Springs-based organization is seeking help to honor our nation’s heroes who are buried in Ohio.

Senior Veterans Inc. raises money to decorate military graves at Dayton National Cemeteries and the Ohio Western Preserve on National Wreaths Day across America.

David Bolser, CEO and Founder of Senior Veterans, Inc. said, “These cemeteries are very old, especially the ones in Dayton which were opened in 1867. Some of these graves are never visited for years and years. It’s a way for the people of Ohio to honor their lives.

Bolser is working to ensure that wreaths are placed on every grave in Dayton National Cemetery and the Ohio Western Reservation where more than 100,000 veterans are buried.

Local veterans have said that National Wreath Day across America also honors the family members of those who helped secure the freedoms we now enjoy.

“This wreath on this grave is not just for this veteran, but it is for the family. It comforts them to know that my dad, mom, brother or sister is getting the respect they deserve, ”said Commander Brandon Seagraves, Ohio VFW District 3 Commander.

The cost is $ 15 per crown. Donations can be made throughout the year, but people are encouraged to make their donations on Veterans Day, Thursday, November 11. The wreaths will be deposited on December 18, 2021. Anyone interested in purchasing one can make a donation here.
