Ismail Yilmaz, head of the Association of Exporters of Plants and Ornamental Products, told Anadolu Agency on Wednesday that flower exports had so far doubled in 2021 compared to the same period last year.

“Despite the pandemic, we have sent 70 million flowers to 35 countries, worth more than $ 7 million. This number is more than double compared to last year.”

Saying that the Netherlands is Turkey’s biggest flower market, Yilmaz added that countries like UK, Germany, Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine are also important markets for the flower industry. Turkish flowers.
